And just like that…Christmas season is upon us. It’s that time of the year again where we all get into the festive spirit. I am sure you’ll agree with me that most of us save some of our best bottles to be enjoyed during Christmas time. My special recommendation for this season is Lumber’s Ivy Vodka produced at the 137 Distillery in Royal Berkshire. It is the first in a series of independently distilled vodkas designed and produced by master distiller, Peter Lumber.

Produced from British wheat and enhanced by special botanical elements, 137 Ivy Vodka is a true statement of quality. Bottled at 47% ABV, every sip delivers a soft and pleasant warmth, perfectly enjoyable during long winter evenings. When it comes to the bottle design, every element is unique and it comes in a 100% recycled bottle made in Italy, distinctly different label which is embossed in silver tones and an individual batch and bottle number.

Tasting notes: Lumber’s Ivy Vodka lavish tasting journey starts with soft and creamy notes on the nose and light woody and herbaceous mouthfeel. On the palate it delivers lovely grassy taste with mellow vanilla notes, white pepper and aniseed. It evolves into a well-rounded finish with distinctive earthy and savoury flavours.

It definitely makes a great addition to any Christmas punch or it's a great twist on a classic French 75.
